Hydraulic safety blocks provide a function as required by ISO4413:2010 Hydraulic Fluid Power – General rules and safety requirements for systems and their components. The blocks provide an isolation, pressure protection and vent down function. ISO4413 requires an automatic vent function on system shut down, except in applications when the accumulator is needed afterwards. Hence our solenoid vent is recommended for this application.  Pressure can rise, to an unsafe level, due to increasing accumulator gas pressure caused by fire or localised heating. The relief valve protects the accumulator and pipework from over pressure. The safety block can be specified as the accumulator safety system for PED (Pressure Equipment Directive).

Our blocks can be adapated to fit any major suppliers accumulators such as Olaer Fawcett Christie, Parker, Hydac, Fox and many more.
